Welcome to

our place

The farm, the school, the heartbeat of heritage traditions.

We are Juliette & Thibault and together we created the Badabec Farm: a learning and living place in the moutains of Auvergne, where old skills meet modern knowledge — where bread, sheep, bees, and people come together.

Here, every gesture is more than just work. It’s connection, tradition, and discovery — whether it’s tending bees, shaping wool, kneading dough, or sharing a meal together.

Our daily routine is centered around heritage bread baking where loaves are baked the old way: with flame, smoke, and time. But even though this is our primary occupation, we also find time to take care of our sheep and bees. The sheep are milked by hand, their wool felted and used in workshops, while our buzzing helpers remind us of patience and balance.

We believe learning should be simple, hands-on, and rooted in respect for natural rhythms.

That’s why everything at Badabec — from farming to crafts to baking — feels alive, nourishing both people and the land.

Our Teaching
Journey

Every weekend for the past four years,

we’ve opened our doors to students from all walks of life.

We’ve taught over 1,000 people in 200+ workshops — from complete beginners baking their first loaf, to professional bakers fine-tuning their skills, to Michelin-star chefs seeking inspiration from the heritage tradition.

Together, we’ve baked more than 2,500 loaves and shared countless discoveries. We’ve seen failures, breakthroughs, and the small moments of joy that come when dough suddenly “clicks.”

These lived experiences are the backbone of our teaching. We don’t hand out abstract theory — we invite people to learn by doing, to experiment, to make mistakes and grow through them. Everything we share — every course, every video, every tool — has been shaped and refined with real people, in real moments, again and again.

We don’t just teach.

We create experiences that stay with you.

Our Philosophy

& Values

Our philosophy is rooted in respect & nature

— for people, for land, and for knowledge that grows through experience. It’s what connects our teaching, farming, and way of life.

Minimal
& simple

We use humble tools, not to limit ambition, but to make baking accessible everywhere: farms, kitchens, homes.

Heritage
first

Our bread is rooted in the lineage of the French heritage bakers, with traditional grains and timeless methods.

Respect
for Nature

Life begins with the earth. We bake bread, raise sheep, keep bees, practice permaculture, and protect biodiversity.

Hands-on
learning

We believe in learning by doing. Every class, video, and app feature invites you to touch, feel, and adjust your own dough.

Authenticity

& humility

We stay true to simple values. We share what we live, what we’ve learned, and what works in real kitchens and on real farms.

These principles guide everything we do

— from the farm to the bakery and courses — shaping a way of learning and living that is simple, honest, and deeply connected to nature.
